Brett Hancock
Tax Manager

One of the newest and youngest members of the BGC staff, Brett brings with him over half a decade of exceptional experience in the accounting field. Having discovered a knack for accounting while in high school, Brett decided to pursue this endeavor beyond his diploma. After graduating from College of Charleston in 2009 with his B.S. in Accounting, Brett immediately decided to further his career by continuing his education at Clemson University. He enrolled in their graduate program and just a year later had a Master of Professional Accountancy to add to his credentials.

With the collegiate knowledge he obtained, Brett is able to maximize his efficiency as a Tax Manager, and help his clients understand the rules and regulations of the complicated tax laws. Though he may be relatively new to the accounting field compared to some of the more senior partners, Brett’s enthusiasm, hard work, and kind heart will continue to be welcomed by the BGC staff and all its clients.

Though he wasn’t born in the area, Brett has lived in the Upstate for 21 years. When he’s not making life easier for his clients, you may find Brett watching college football, playing with his dog in the park, or (depending on the season) enjoying a calming afternoon at the lake or slicing up the wintery slopes in his skis. Whatever you find him doing outside the office, you can be sure he’s having a good time.
