Amanda enjoys solving problems and figuring out how to help with clients' different situations and needs. A majority of her work is with construction and manufacturing companies. Her work helps them to receive funding through loans and grants as well as maintain their contractor’s licenses. Amanda also works with governmental entities and not-for-profit organizations.
Ask Amanda if she has any pets and she might have to think twice; do chickens count? Her biggest priority in life is spending time with her husband and teenage daughters as well as extended family. She’s also learning how to keep a garden. Amanda would also say that her faith is very important to her, which is why she is involved in volunteering with her church and the Auxiliary of the Gideons International.
Amanda's Story:
Amanda grew up in Pauline, South Carolina, a small close-knit community in Spartanburg. She stayed close to home for college, attending USCS (Now USC-Upstate), and started working at BGC the summer after graduation. Two years later she married her high school sweetheart and they began their life together. They had two beautiful daughters and built their forever home in Amanda’s hometown of Pauline so their girls could grow up close to family. Amanda says that everything she knows she learned at BGC, from bookkeeping and preparing income tax returns, to eventually working in the audit department and becoming a manager.
