Brian’s work entails compliance and strategic planning, accomplishing immediate short-term needs and blending them with long-term objectives for sustainable success. He finds it rewarding to navigate clients through complex issues that are often full of unfamiliar and confusing terminology. Leaning on his dual experience in law and tax, he specializes in assisting individuals who have created trusts, are the beneficiaries of trusts or are involved in some aspect of an estate administration. That type of involvement spirals outward to also helping with clients’ business and individual tax needs.
When outside of the firm, Brian spends his time with family and makes the most of those moments, whether they are simply relaxing, attending Clemson football games or traveling. He and his wife are currently adjusting from the prior busy norm of their daughter’s travel sports schedule to the new norm of being empty-nesters as she is in college.
Brian is originally from Mechanicsville, VA and is a graduate of Clemson University and the University of Mississippi School of Law. While attending Clemson, Brian developed an appreciation of the Upstate area and a desire to eventually return and call the Upstate home. After starting his career in Irving, TX, Brian and his wife Dina moved to Greenville in 1997 and Brian joined BGC in 1999.
