Ellison specializes in real estate taxation. He loves problem solving and working with others to find solutions. Most of his time is spent working directly with lawyers, physicians, engineers, and other professional service businesses. This allows them to monitor how their business is doing in addition to maximizing tax saving opportunities. His ideal clients want him to act as their advisor, which may include bookkeeping services by the BGC team.
Ellison is a Greenville native and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. Ellison has seen this area expand in ways he never would have imagined, and he takes pride in making sure it continues to grow in the best way possible. He enjoys hiking, which is good because he has eight dogs to walk every day!
Ellison's Story:
Ellison discovered his love of tax while attending Clemson and interned with a CPA firm while going to college. After receiving his CPA license in 1994 and working independently for a number of years, he joined BGC in 1999. Over years of working with clients, he has discovered that the role of a CPA is more of listening and responding to clients’ concerns than just preparing tax returns. He loves the challenges he has faced and the relationships he has developed over the years.
