James oversees BGC’s audit department and its day to day functions. His clients cover a wide range of industries including construction, manufacturing, distribution, and select nonprofits and government entities. Business owners trust James to work with their controller to provide financial statement engagements that allow them to maintain their licensing and financing.
James loves his wife, four boys in their twenties, two dogs, and Georgia football; on a Saturday in the fall, the order may change. He and his four sons play Call of Duty online to stay connected across state lines.
James’ family lived in the Aiken/Augusta area as a child and moved to Atlanta when he was a teenager. After high school he enlisted and served in the U.S. Army for four years at Ft. Bragg, NC where he worked in the personnel department. He then transitioned to an Operations Manager and Corporate Rebuyer for Rhodes Furniture. When he decided to pursue accounting, he enrolled at Georgia State University with his career in public accounting beginning shortly after. In 2014 a life changing decision was made to relocate from Atlanta to Greenville for BGC.
