Kim enjoys working with clients by communicating with them throughout the year. She finds it exciting that everyone has a different story. Her clients are primarily small to mid-size businesses and their owners, and nonprofit organizations. She advises them on their tax planning and preparation. To provide the business owners with insight into their profitability and tax planning opportunities, she helps with QuickBooks™ training, implementation or preparation.
Kim loves the thrill of the hunt at antique stores. She gets animated when talking about her husband and their three girls who are involved in gymnastics, dance, basketball, and swimming. Their favorite vacation destination is Disney World, though you might also find them on the beach in the Outer Banks or closer to home in Garden City.
Even though she was born in Lexington, SC, and grew up in the Simpsonville/Mauldin area, Kim loves to call Greenville her home. Kim graduated from Mauldin High School then studied accounting at the University of South Carolina. She began working in public accounting during her sophomore year, loving it from the beginning. Staying in the Midlands for twelve years after graduation, Kim married her high school sweetheart and continued her career in public accounting. She and her husband returned to Greenville to raise their daughters close to family. Kim began her career at BGC in 2015 as a Tax Staff member and considers it a great privilege to work with such an amazing firm. She has been promoted twice; first to Tax Senior, and to her current role as Client Services Manager.
