Mary assists business owners in arranging their business and personal activities to maximize income tax deductions, contribute to retirement savings, and comply with Federal and state laws. She enjoys when relationships last for decades because she can help address the changing needs of a business and its owners. Mary also works with charities and other nonprofits helping organizations comply with reporting requirements and safeguarding their tax exempt status.
Mary and her husband enjoy traveling to new places. They’ve toured Israel, Greece, and Rome, and are working on their list of future global destinations. Since she can’t be on vacation all the time, Mary also finds satisfaction in home renovation projects. Her running shoes once wore out quickly while training for half marathons and local races (a few of which she placed in her age group), but now they’re used mostly for walking her beloved rescue mutt, Chaco. Mary’s family continues to cheer for the Clemson Tigers long after her two sons attended.
She has spent over twenty years as a tax professional and nine years in eldercare reporting and compliance. Though she was not born in Greenville, Mary now calls it home. At BGC Mary’s intelligence, competence, care, wit, and helpfulness come together to create one of BGC’s most valuable assets. She enjoys working closely with the small businesses and their owners that make up the wonderful Upstate.
